Shifu Qiang

Shifu Zhi Qiang Si, or Shifu Qiang for short, was born in China.s Shan Dong Province, commonly referred to as .Wushu.s Home Village.. At a very young age, Shifu Qiang began studying martial arts with his father. When he turned eight years old, Shifu Qiang entered the Shao Lin Temple for intensive Kung Fu training. As a 32nd Generation Shao Lin Disciple, he received the strict traditional training of a warrior monk. Shifu Qiang exhibited keen mastery of Shao Lin Kung Fu, both in terms of its physical movements and its personal and spiritual cultivation. His masters praised him as having the air of a true Shao Lin disciple. In successive years, Shifu Qiang represented the Shaolin Temple in numerous performances and events around the world, promoting Shao Lin Kung Fu and Chinese culture in general. After leaving the Shao Lin Temple, Shifu Qiang continued to promote the martial arts in China and abroad. He has since acquired tremendously rich and diverse experience as a Kung Fu actor, performer and teacher. In 2002, Shifu Qiang travelled to Hong Kong to participate in the making of Kung Fu films and film series. The directors and fellow actors all praised him for his integrity and martial prowess. In 2004, Shifu Qiang served as the main actor in the Beijing Huan Yu Film Company.s Gong Fu Chuan Qi (The Marvels of Kung Fu) film. The Marvels of Kung Fu was hugely successful in China, and it was repeatedly shown on television channels season after season. In 2006, America.s Tiger Claw Kung Fu magazine honored Shifu Qiang as a special guest and judge in its Wushu performances and competitions. Since settling in the United States, Shifu Qiang has successfully trained many young Wushu athletes to reach their full potential. He enjoys participating in community volunteer activities and donating his time to teach Kung Fu to those would otherwise be unable to learn it. |
